Step 1. Connecting with your barn building project. Once you have made contact with the builders, they will learn more about you and your needs for your barn-style home. Any ideas that you like are welcome so send us any drawings and images that reflect your taste, style, and taste. The team will then match your budget and project with one or more Kit-set Heritage Post or Beam Designs. These designs are designed to maximize the space and frame, and keep the barn economical. The standard Bay modules are more cost-effective than using them. They can easily add or subtract bays and add additional timbers to your needs, such as if your barn is to be used as a secondary structure with the cladding attached directly to the beam frame and post.
Step 2. Step Two. They will create a 3D model of your timber frame and dimensioned drawings based on your feedback. This will allow the builders to provide a price for the frame and the basis for your floor plan.
3D Concept Design. Based on your feedback, they will refine the scope and work with your to create a 3D concept for your barn home. This 3D includes exterior elevations with window and door openings, floor plans, as well as interior 3D images. They can meet face-to-face, by phone, and/or schedule a zoom meeting. The first session should last between 2 and 3 hours. The second session should last 1 to 2 hour to discuss the concept and begin the first draft. The concept will allow you to imagine your home from different angles and in proportion to the average person’s size. This process also includes looking at the roof pitch and mezzanine areas. Once you are satisfied with your concept, they will create a high quality rendered image to give a feeling of the final product.
